BELLA – INDOOR ONLY CAT

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A VERY SPECIAL HOME FOR BELLA, SOUTH ISLAND ONLY. 

Bella is to be an indoor only cat with someone who is experienced with this breed and experienced and has the time to groom and care for a Miradoll Breed Cat.  We Are Looking for a Special Person who would Treat Bella Like her current Owners Do, Bella is very much loved and doted on.   Please Read Below and if you think you have what it takes then See How to Apply at the bottom of this post.

When we first got Bella as a kitten (Miradoll breed) in December 2014 (born 25 September 2014) from Michelle Smallridge at https://www.abracadabracats.com/ , I knew that she was a very special girl. She is not just physically beautiful, but has such an amazingly beautiful soul, sweet and kind demeanor…and smart too! She has always been kept indoors for safety reasons (she’s a lover not a fighter and we love birds), and has just had short walks outside around the house in a harness and leash, as well as in a pet backpack when she was smaller (there is a picture of that on Michelle’s website). She has since outgrown it, but a pet stroller and/or catio would work well now as she does love to get outside to see and smell the world.  She has only had two vaccinations as a kitten, and is an extremely healthy girl, as the Lincoln Village vets and assistants can attest to. (just has one drippy eye on occasions) She spent the first three years of her life playing with our elderly miniature poodle who sadly passed away. No children have been in her life, just us…two quiet semi-retired adults. 

Needless to say, circumstances have changed and we have to rehome Bella I’m trying to be proactive, as our highest wish is for her to have the purrfect home with a doting loving family, and sometimes that takes time.

Please know that the most important thing for us is to know that she will go to an amazing, wonderful and caring family (who are familiar with the daily care of indoor longhaired cats) and will really look after, love and cuddle her for the rest of her life. 

She comes with all her familiar items such as: 1 large cat tree; 1 cat barrel; 1 small cat tree; 2 covered litter boxes; toys galore; grooming tools; water fountain; food and dishes and anything else I have forgotten. She eats “Orijen Cat and Kitten” kibble https://www.pet.co.nz/product/cat/cat-kitten-dry-food/30119 as well as raw veal (fussy and will only eat “Jimbos Raw Veal”https://jimbos.co.nz/product/veal ) with cooked pumpkin mixed in and a bit of tuna in spring water on top.…spoiled girl but she is absolutely worth it. She also gets “Hills Dental Care for cats”https://www.pet.co.nz/product/cat/t-d-dental-care-feline/28810 just as treats to keep her teeth clean. She also loves these treats “Feline Natural Beef and Hoki” https://www.pet.co.nz/product/cat/cat-food-beef-and-hoki-feast/30052 which could be used for training or as a replacement for the raw veal. She is microchipped, so that will have to be changed. It took a while to find a cat litter that she likes, so we have used this with great success “Kitty Fresh Activated Charcoal Clumping Cat Litter” (no stinky odor) https://www.pet.co.nz/product/cat/activated-charcoal-clumping-cat-litter/6745
