Bowie

Bowie is a 16 week old (born 13th October 2020) American staffy cross. He is a chunky little man and will probably grow to 30-35kg. His owners have made the sad decision that he would suit a new family as one of their older dogs has not reacted well to the wee boy. Bowie is the sweetest and most friendly little puppy and is looking to settle in with a new forever family while he is still young. He would suit an active family who can take him on adventures and keep him busy. He is so very social and loves being the centre of attention. His hobbies include tug of war (with puppy growls to match), chasing balls, and sneaking into the garden to find treasures like leaves and sticks. Bowie loves children in particular, and gives whole body happy tail wiggles when being patted. He seems more interested in getting pats from the other owners than the other puppys at puppy training! He would also be good with a young dog that would match his playful energy, calmer older dogs that won’t be bothered by usual puppy antics – (currently living with two dogs). He has seen cats on his walks and he has taken that in his stride. He has started his basic puppy training and will need a family to commit to continuing this, to make sure he grows up into the polite gentleman that he can be. He would need to have a well fenced back yard (as he will grow to need a tall fence) and would ideally have someone at home part of the day to keep him company. He is going to be a sweet and handsome big boy. – He sleeps in his crate in the families bedroom and will sleep all night (until 6am) whilst snoring like a little freight train. – He is house trained and hasn’t had an accident in a long time. -He is doing well at crate training but still gets frustrated at times. He settles well to sleep in his crate for daytime naps. – He has been to puppy nursery at Barkley Manor for socialisation pre-vaccination. – He is microchipped and fully vaccinated
