My Tale

Hello! My name is Cher and I am looking for my forever home

I am 10 months old, housetrained and continually improving on my harness walking skills outside. As I am deaf, I am still very intrigued by everything I see. I am full of energy and am beginning to love runs along the beach and biking around the neighborhood parks. My foster family believes I am the most affectionate dog they have ever met. That is just one reason why they immediately fell in love with me. I love playing with my humans. My foster family has taught me a few commands, such as ‘sit’, ‘lay down’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’ which I understand through hand signals. As I am deaf and do not get distracted by any noises, I learn new commands super quickly. I have learned to live with my disability through focusing my attention fully on my humans. I have had the pleasure of meeting many new people and I immediately love everyone who is introduced to me. To start with, I was a little nervous/intimidated by other dogs and didn’t really know how to behave. With the help of my foster family I have met a few other dogs and have had very successful playdates. I believe that with more opportunities I will overcome my nervousness regarding other dogs. I hope that when you read this you believe that I would make a wonderful addition to a family that can give me the affection that I crave and deserve.
