My Tale

After a rough start being dumped in the dark and cold on a farm, with a broken leg at 5 weeks old, Jess is nothing if not a survivor.

Her cries alerted the farmer to her and her sisters grim predicament and the next stage of her adventure began. She has a spunky lively personality, and is extremely social. She loves our cat, chickens, neighbours dog and our dog.

She loves our kids and ALL visitors. She is easily trained, and loves positive praise. She is trying super hard at toilet training using the puppy pee pads more often than not. Jess has been crate trained and sleeps from 8.30 pm till around 7 am where she then needs to go out to the toilet. Because Jess was taken off her mother far too early, she hasn’t quite mastered her bite inhibition, but we are working on this and she is picking it up fast.

A high pitched cry and loss of attention and she is getting the hang of it, but this is something her new family will need to be willing to work on. It is not suitable to leave her unsupervised with small children, as her play bite can hurt if they don’t know how to teach her to be gentle. But over all Jess will be a confident social member of your family. Something she most definitely deserves.
