Maverick

My name is Maverick. I’m about 11 weeks old.

I’ve had pretty rough start in life but have settled incredibly quickly into a family of loving humans. My foster mummy is very proud of me. I’m so happy! I’m enjoying lots of peaceful sleeps, puppy play with as many balls as I can fit in my mouth and exploring my new garden. My favourite spot is on the sofa snuggling with my humans.

I have learned to sit for treats and come when my name is called. I’m getting really good at going to the toilet outside but still need to be reminded.  I can sleep all night in my crate without needing the toilet.

I can be scared of new sounds and at the moment don’t like cars but with gentle care and positive encouragement I think I will get braver the older I get. Mummy has been helping me get used to a collar and lead and am doing pretty darn well if I do say so myself!

Ive met quite a lot of grown ups but not any children or cats yet.

I’ve had a play with the big boxer dog next door and other puppies and think that’s lots of fun.

I’m not sure what breed of dog I am,  Mummy thinks I might have some German Shepherd in me as I have a handsome long, black nose. Whatever my genes, I’m 100% cute and full of love to give to a forever family.
