My Tale

Peppa

Peppa came to Saving Hope pregnant, she was THE BEST mum. Super gentle and attentive with her babies. She was also really trusting of us around them. Peppa was a little unsure of being inside at first, and a little unsure of cuddles, and didnt know what toys were.

However that is definitely changed now and she is a bouncy little cuddle bug. She loves being with you, she is super loyal and loves going for walks and adventures at the beach. She loves to run and go for bike rides. She is fantastic off lead, and working on being on lead. She even is learning how to play with kongs and hooves. Peppa is very good at listening and being told to “sit” “leave it”, “wait” and “come on”. She does have a few quirks that her new family will need to work on.

Peppa does love birds a bit too much, you have to tell her to leave them or she will chase them. She is reactive with other dogs, and still learning to socialise. She will need a calm, patient pack leader to help her with this gradually. She also will chase the neighbors cats off the property if they get too close, but doesn’t chase them on walks. Also like many staffys Peppa has allergies.

The vet isnt sure if this is because of pregnancy, as it has gotten miles better and is currently being managed very well with baths, medication and special food.

We have loved having Peppa and seeing her come out of her shell. She is an adorable goofball who constantly makes us laugh. She will make her new family so happy.
