Pippa

Meet Pippa – the sweet, zoomy-legend, deaf girl. She is a Heading X, 9-month old puppy, currently based in Bayview, North Shore, Auckland. She is a medium sized dog, around 15kg.  As mentioned, she is fully deaf, but you wouldn’t know it!! She is an active puppy, and can play, run, jump all day! I can see her becoming a dog agility champion.

Pippa is confident with the sit command and is learning other command such as recall slowly – we are still figuring out how to get her attention. She likes going on walks – but the vibrations from buses and trucks get her excited, so trail walks are her go to. She is fully crate trained (don’t even need to close the door) and is mostly house trained – couple of accidents here and there when she doesn’t quite make it out, but this is quickly improving.

She has been fostered with another dog and is really good around him. She has also previously been with lots of puppies and was good with them. She used to be on a farm, so should be ok with other animals, but I haven’t witnessed this myself. When on walks she barely notices other dogs.

Pippa hasn’t been around children much, but she is not a jumper so should be ok around children. She is slow to warm up to new people and needs a couple of days to really shine – but is the sweetest when she does.

She is absolutely unphased about being left at home alone (we leave her outside) – she doesn’t bark or whine at all. The only time she barks at all is when a particularly large truck goes by the house and scares her. She is not exactly an escape artist – doesn’t dig or try jump over fences; but if you have any gaps in your fence, or leave the gate open, she will be out!

She is so lovely and needs a house where she will be adored by all!
