  Snoopy 

*Snoopy is small, cute and fluffy. BUT he has very special needs, so please read the following carefully. 

Snoopy, 4 years old. Poodle/Maltese mix, 7.5 kg. Fostered in Oamaru. South Island adoption only, potential new carers must be able to travel and meet him.  

Snoopy came to us several weeks ago, he was a severely matted and uncomfortable mess. The vets sedated him and gave him a full shave. He couldn’t believe his luck, he was so much happier and kept rolling around, able to feel his skin nicely for the first time in months. His ears have also been treated.  

Seeking an adult dog savvy home that is very securely fenced (no gaps, 4ft minimum). No cats. He can be very VOCAL. Snoopy is being treated for separation anxiety – he will bark and scratch at the door and get himself in a right state of stress if left on his own. Whilst he is being treated for this, he will still need a home with someone there during the day, and they must be 100% prepared to do the ongoing work required to help him feel at ease if left on his own for short periods. He is a clever little Poodle mix and would love to learn new tricks, he needs to be lead trained (he pulls hard at times, and will react to cats and sometimes other dogs). Must be exercised on lead, otherwise he will take off. 

Fostered with 2 older larger dogs, has regular play dates with smaller dogs. He will want to take charge (even of the big dogs) if they start to play or get excited. Best suited to being an only dog, or with an older, relaxed dog. 

Adoption cost $230. Neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, worm/flea treated, registered. Regular grooming required. Adoption process applies. If interested, please email telling us why you would be an awesome home for Snoopy.
