AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION – are you Tovie’s forever home? We’re looking for a special home for this inquisitive, bold and fun pup (5months old) who can give her the opportunity to live a normal doggy life, despite her 3 legs.

As a cattle dog x whippet she is keen to get out and explore but she also enjoys her quiet time chewing on a kong or having a cuddle.

One of her rear legs was amputated after she trod on some glass and cut her achilles tendon. Sadly it was not repairable and as she was originally destined to be a working dog, it was clear this was no longer possible.

However, she has adapted incredibly well and doesn’t let it stop her getting around with the other dogs.

So we’re looking for an active home with older children as she can’t always move out the way quickly. A home that has minimal steps is ideal, or slippery floors. She can live in town or country, but will require someone home for part of the day with time to continue her training. She is crate trained and house trained, has mixed well with a range of dogs and cats. She’s observed the horses, goats and chickens too. She can live with another dog that is older than her that is calm or playful but won’t jump on her.

Few special requests for her new home 

 single level home or very minimal stairs 

 no slippery floors 

 prefer a home she is not left at for more then 6 hours a day 

 a gentle playmate but not necessary

 older children as she cannot get out of the way fast enough for little ones

She is vaccinated and is being rehomed on a foster to adopt basis until she is old enough to be spayed.
