About
Street Cats South Canterbury works mainly with stray cats, aiming to vastly reduce the population by trapping, neutering/spaying, socialising and rehoming
Street Cats South Canterbury is a registered charity (charity number: CC50865)The charity consists of Karen Sole (programme director), Lindsay Sole (treasurer), and Nicola Appleby (head of fundraising). Our aim is to vastly reduce the amount of stray cats in the South Canterbury area by trapping, neutering/spaying, socialising and rehoming these cats to fantastic forever homes. Also a Trap, Neuter and Return programme is available for some colonies that are able to go back to their original location and be monitored, fed and provided vet care if needed, such as barn cats. We receive no funding and rely totally on donations from the public, adoption fees to cover costs and fundraising. All money raised goes toward vet costs, food, bedding, traps and any other miscellaneous things needed to successfully run the charity.
