About Us

WRR runs solely on donations from the public and the fees we charge for adoption and surrender. We do not have access to any grants of subsidies.

Our differentiator is that we are rabbit-focused, and therefore our team is very experienced in all things regarding rabbit needs, wellbeing, health and behaviour.

We have no permanent staff so our social media, fundraising, messages, adoptions and rescues are all carried out by our volunteers who have to balance between day jobs and family commitments.

Founded in 2016, WRR has rescued and rehomed more than 500 rabbits to forever homes in the Wellington region.
